We are excited to invite parents, friends, family members out to West's Career Day.  Participatns will be asked to describe their occupation to students and tell how they made the transition from school to their current occupation.

Volunteers are needed from either 9:30 - 11:30 or 1:00 - 2:30.  Please respond by e-mailing Ms. Caruthers or contacting the front office.

Why - to support college awareness and prep

As most families already know the DC CAS exams are fast approaching.  The kids at our school, West Education Campus (www.westschool.org), have been working their tails off to prepare for their exams and we are all impressed with their mastery of the material and how excited they are to improve upon their personal bests.

In support of the students West is having a Spirit Week and providing all middle schoolers (grades 6-8) with a college t-shirt.  We are raising awareness about college preparedness as well as encouraging them to set goals for themselves. Spirit week runs from April 9 - 13.

We are seeking donations of about 40 t-shirts in sizes youth medium, large and x-large to hand out.  We already have West Point represented as well as the University of San Francisco.

If anyone would like to donate shirts from their alma mater you are welcome to drop them by the office at West at 1338 Farragut Street NW

(Between 14th and 13th).  Alternatively you can make a donation at - http://www.westschool.org/

One way you can support West and our students is by shopping online for school supplies and uniforms from stores that earn us Box Tops.
